KCRM is a finalist for the Servant Christian Community Foundation's 2010 Passion Awards! The recipient of the highest award will receive a $25,000 grant to further its ministry. What an honor it would be to receive that award and grant from among the other deserving ministries! As part of the process, the Servant Foundation is asking our friends and supporters to take a moment to complete a short online questionnaire to give input about our ministry and help us celebrate the work that God is doing through our ministry. Little ones attending Vacation Bible School at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church took KCRM’s G2:10 Challenge in June!

Youth from Kingsland, Texas, serenaded KCRM while volunteering in our kitchen during lunch. Some of the group, a part of Adventures in Missions, helped prepare lunch while others braved intense heat and tall weeds to work on KCRM’s garden.  “They helped us find the cucumbers and watermelon!” Volunteer Coordinator Juliann Hansen enthused.

The ministry provided to people who turn to Kansas City Rescue Mission for help is categorized into three avenues of assistance: Relief Recovery Re-Entry

Each of these phases contains vital, practical steps targeted to restore the lives of precious people. Woven together, these avenues of assistance work as a rebuilding process to return these people back into society whole and filled with hope.
